Change

Just to let everyone know – we have moved this fotoblog to a new server. That has meant some work in the background instead of on the weblog. I am finishing what I need to do. The new install has provided all new software for WordPress and Gallery, the two programs I use. The WordPress upgrade didn’t produce a lot of changes, except I have to figure out again how I will put fotos in my posts. Grrrrr.

The Gallery upgrade required a complete redo of the format because the old style is no longer supported. This means all my narrative on fotos (1000 entries) require changes. Fortunately, the new version provides some tools for doing it but it doesn’t prevent me from having to touch every fotos. That will take a little time. I don’t like the navigation the new version provides. It doesn’t expose the gallery structure for people to walk through it as easily as I would like. I’m going to have to do some work to make it easier for people to move through and find new areas. So, what little time I have is being spent cleaning up some of these issues. Not fun, but it needs doing.

I have some new fotos and some new stories to maybe over the weekend, if I can get caught up, I’ll get a new one posted. Don’t count on it though… —>
